This Evermore Ottawa wedding was one of our intimate weddings that took place this past fall.

Alyse and Jose were meant to originally be married back in May. When Covid-19 began, they had to reschedule and we hoped and prayed that their new fall date would go ahead. Alyse and Jose were so patient and gracious during the rescheduling process. They both remained hopeful that their closest loved ones would be able to celebrate their big day, just a few months later.

After a few changes to the guest list to abide by current restrictions, Alyse and Jose said their “I do’s” in front of their most cherished family and friends on September 3rd.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding at Evermore, Alyse was a glowing bride in her Emmy Mae gown from Revelle Bridal. Her bridal dream came true when she was ready to walk down the aisle. Her brother played guitar for her aisle walk, and overlooking the rolling hills her guests in person and virtually, watched her handsome husband. The wedding guests sipped wine and cocktails while grazing on canapés post ceremony. The gorgeous sailcloth tent with white linen tables, lush florals and greenery, and hand-pressed floral table numbers, created by the bride herself. The string lights under the tent made for a romantic dinner reception under the stars.

With all of the rules and regulations that come with having a “Covid Wedding” I was determined for Alyse and Jose’s wedding day to be as “normal” as possible.

With the help of our dream team of vendors, everything was absolutely perfect. There is something so special about having these intimate weddings during this crazy time. Each of the speeches seemed more thoughtful, the details were more personal, and the day as a whole felt much more emotional, in the best way. It is a true testament that love conquers all and that love will always win.

Alyse and Jose, I couldn’t be happier for the two of you.

I am so happy we were able to celebrate your love story this year and I will never forget the leaps and bounds you both took to make it happen. Thank you for your grace, your patience, and your kindness during these crazy times.

Congratulations again!
